Mgr - Tax Systems Senior Developer

Details:Responsibilities This position is responsible for the development of end-to-end application solutions to support the process automation and reporting initiatives within the Tax Department, along with the ongoing monitoring, support, and maintenance of previously implemented solutions. The role of the Tax Process & Data Management group is to advance the use of technology within the Tax Department to drive process efficiency and to improve the availability, accuracy, and security of the data used by the department. A primary focus is placed on managing the large, data-intensive processes within Tax, such as the reporting of fixed asset detail, billing records, General Ledger information, and other processes involving large volumes of data and highly complex business logic. Because of its unique blend of technology expertise and extensive experience with Tax and Accounting processes and data, this group is able to respond rapidly with effective solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of the business processes within the Tax Department. Our initiatives are unique and advanced in that our users are actively a part of the Agile workflow process (including the final data produced) and that the data produced in the designed systems interact directly with and influence the data and processes within other source systems in the company. This position will require a thorough knowledge of database concepts and SQL coding, including database structure design, creation of tables and views, management of table relationships and data integrity, complex queries and stored procedures, large-scale data update processes, and numerous other advanced database programming concepts. A working knowledge of object-oriented web programming will be beneficial as our applications move from a Microsoft Access environment to C#. A strong knowledge of data warehousing design and concepts will also serve well for future projects, including ETL design, star and snowflake schemas, OLAP modeling, and report design and deployment. The position will also be involved in designing effective workflow-driven user interface components to facilitate maintenance of data and reporting.
